The short version

FableForge is a desktop app that runs entirely on your Mac. We don't run accounts, we don't collect analytics, and we never see your code.

What we collect

Purchases: Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They collect your email and payment details to complete the sale and deliver your license key; we receive your email and license information so we can provide support. See Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy for details on payment handling.

License checks: When you activate or use a license key, the app contacts Lemon Squeezy's licensing service to confirm the key is valid. Only the license key and a device name (like "David's MacBook") are sent.

Support email: If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.

What we never collect

Your source code, your projects, your AI conversations, and your API keys never leave your Mac except when you direct the app to contact your chosen AI provider (Anthropic, Groq, or a local Ollama model). Your API keys are stored in the macOS Keychain on your device. We have no servers that receive your code and no analytics or tracking in the app or on this website.

Third parties

When you use AI features, your prompts and relevant code are sent directly from your Mac to the AI provider you configured, under their privacy terms. We are not a party to that traffic.

Your rights

You can request a copy or deletion of any personal data we hold (essentially: your purchase email and support correspondence) by contacting [email protected].
